River’s Edge Farm is a working farm that does double duty as a primary residence and 35 acre working farm on one hand and a unique, quiet retreat on the other. Although wonderfully private, the farm is only 20 miles from the Cumberland, Maryland I-68 exit. The Cumberland area is about two hours drive from Pittsburgh, Washington DC and Baltimore. All our animals, the alpaca breeding herd and a rotating menagerie of horses, goats, ducks and other friendly farm animals are lovingly tended and very socialized. It works out nicely, we think, for both serious alpaca breeder and anyone interested in learning more about alpacas and the farming lifestyle.
